Two specifically archaeological projects (the excavations at Ghazni in Afghanistan and at Udegram in Pakistan), two cataloguing architectural projects (the wooden mosques of Pakistan, and the religious architecture of Yemen), and a ethnographic project (the wooden artifacts of Pakistan) were identified.

Maria Vittoria Fontana appointed a responsible to each project. The responsible of Islamic Ghazni.
